About Me

JOSEPH HERZER

Born and raised in Central Texas, I have lived and worked throughout Williamson County and the surrounding communities for most of my life. From Taylor, Hutto, Round Rock, Lago Vista, Point Venture, Pflugerville, Belton, North Austin, Georgetown, and now Liberty Hill, I know this area well and am proud to call it home. I graduated from Round Rock High School in 1999 and later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Texas State University in 2009.

Over the years, I have built a career in construction, landscaping, and project management, gaining experience at every level of the industry. From laborer and technician to superintendent, project manager, and now business owner, I have developed a deep understanding of what it takes to deliver quality work and exceptional customer service.

My approach to business is simple: work hard, be honest, and always do right by the customer. Throughout my career, I have learned that most people simply want to be treated fairly and know they can trust the person working on their property. Building those long-term relationships is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do, and many of those customer relationships have grown into lasting friendships.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me on a golf course. While I may not be the best golfer, I genuinely enjoy the game—whether that means spending time at the driving range or participating in one of the many charity golf tournaments and scrambles throughout Central Texas. Slowly but surely, I’m learning how to keep the ball in the fairway.

I am also passionate about giving back to the community and supporting local nonprofit organizations. Being involved in causes that make a positive impact is something I truly value, and I believe strong communities are built when people invest their time and energy in helping others.

At the end of the day, my goal is to provide dependable service, build lasting relationships, and leave every customer feeling confident they were treated with honesty, fairness, and respect.

TRANSFORMATION IRRIGATION

Here and Now

One pivotal moment in my career was during a large construction project that required irrigation. As I worked on the project, I began to see the untapped financial potential of the irrigation business. That realization led me to complete my first certification as a Landscape Irrigator in 2017, and I immediately started my own business, HZR Irrigation.

What began as a financial motivation soon transformed into a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces. I found that my success was defined by my aspiration to turn once-tired landscapes into something desirable. Through my work, I quickly learned that irrigation was the foundation of that beauty.

Beyond the financial rewards and my passion for the work, another unexpected benefit of my irrigation business has been the people I’ve met. Over the years, I’ve made some great friends through my work, and I value those relationships just as much as the success of my business.
